Bay where you can observe Racek středomořský and by the rocks koliha malá. In the desert area inland you can observe orebice berberská.
Bajo Negro is located near several biotopes. The first one is the sea. At sea here you will find Racek středomořský and rarely racek žlutonohý. If you are lucky, also terej bílý or buřňák šedý. Another setting is the beach. You can easily see jespák písečný. If you continue further, you will reach the dunes. In the desert area inland the orebice berberská is found, skřivánek menší and linduška kanárská.
The location is walkable. The advantage is that it is located right next to a hotel, where you can park, and where there are sometimes bramborníček kanárský. Click on the P in the map for directions.
During a visit or two in November 2021 I saw Dytík úhorní, ťuhýk pustinný, pěnice brýlatá in the desert area and on the beach kolpík bílý, břehouš rudý, kulík mořský, kulík bledý as well as other mentioned species. The north end of Corralejo is worth exploring too. hýl pouštní quite common here.
Hello Dave, congratulations on a beautiful observation. I have seen some of the species you mentioned, such as břehouš rudý or kolpík bílý in Corralejo. But I didn't come across Dytík úhorní here at all. However, I was only here for 10 days in February 2022 and I know I didn't see a lot of species (like the drop obojkový that was reported here). Someone even saw a terej bílý here. Thank you for your response. Michal.
