Description
Labudovo Okno is the place where the agricultural plain of Deliblato meets the Danube river near the Romanian - Serbian border. Because of the building of Djerdap Dam, Danube has flooded surrounding Stevan’s Plains (Serbian: Stevanove ravnice) and made perfect habitat for gathering of birds. Here you can see all kinds of waterfowl species, mainly at winter time. polák velký, polák chocholačka, hohol severní, polák kaholka and potápka žlutorohá are regular species that gather at winter time. There are also quite many geese that gather here, mainly husa velká and husa běločelá.
During spring migration there are few species of gulls and terns, some other birds like dudek chocholatý, orel mořský, lyska černá, kachna divoká and ostralka štíhlá. During fall migration there are many small birds migrating through here, species like Grey-headed Wagtail (thunbergi), sedmihlásek hajní, rákosník proužkovaný, rákosník obecný and lejsek šedý. Also there are migrating raptors like orlovec říční and včelojed lesní.

Labudovo okno is only accessible by car. Getting there on foot is hard and you need to know environment. Always stick to established tracks and respect wildlife!
