The Miradouro Penha das Torres is located opposite the Presa de Castro dam, about 12 km upstream from Miranda do Douro. It is considered the easternmost point of Portugal and offers stunning views of the Douro River as it enters Portugal. Birds you can see soaring by include sup bělohlavý, sup mrchožravý, orel skalní, orlík krátkoprstý, orel nejmenší, luňák červený and čáp černý. Other birds you can observe are vlha pestrá, Žluva hajní, kavče červenozobé, břehule skalní and skalník modrý.

The Miradouro Penha das Torres is located in the village of Paradela, near Miranda do Douro in the northeastern part of Portugal. Close to the viewpoint is a parking lot. Press P on the map for directions.
