Catalão is a rural agricultural area with scattered bushes and open fields. It is a very interesting area to visit when looking for migrating and resident birds. Among the birds you can encounter are luněc šedý, orel nejmenší, orlík krátkoprstý, sup bělohlavý, straka iberská, skřivan lesní, pěnice kaštanová and pěnice bělohrdlá.

Catalão is located 7 km northwest of the town of Lagos. Follow the road between N125 and Barão de São João/Bensafrim and exit at the Catalão sign. Press P on the map for directions.
