During the spring many waterbirds breed in the Ruda Fishponds Grebes such as potápka malá, potápka roháč and potápka rudokrká. During migration many ducks can be seen, most interesting: ostralka štíhlá, lžičák pestrý, kopřivka obecná, čírka modrá and čírka obecná, and sometimes others. ledňáček říční can be seen every time on the river flowing through the complex. In the reeds you can hear and see sýkořice vousatá, rákosník velký, moudivláček lužní, rákosník obecný and various other species of warblers. In the sky raptors such as orel mořský, káně lesní, krahujec obecný and jestřáb lesní. Various songbird species live in the nearby forest as well. One small parking spot behind the bridge on the river. Click on the P in the map for directions. Don't wander of the paths as it's a privately owned area. The area can only be visited on foot. The circular route indicated on the map is about 5 km.
