Description
Jezioro Wilanowskie (Lake Wilanowskie) is part of the Wilanów palace and park complex, constituting a water link between the Wilanów Garden and the Morysin Nature reserve. The lake is a former water course of the river Vistula. On the eastern side, the shore is more natural. The lake is surrounded by trees, reeds and mostly overgrown with water lilies. Both the lake and park are good places for birding.
Among the birds you can see in the park are strakapoud prostřední and 4 other species of woodpecker, and also birds like brhlík lesní, lejsek šedý, puštík obecný, dlask tlustozobý, hýl obecný and more. Along the lake you can see labuť velká, ledňáček říční, kachnička mandarinská, morčák velký, potápka malá, bukáček malý, rákosník velký, Žluva hajní and sometimes chřástal kropenatý.
