Description
Dziećkowice is one of the cleanest water reservoirs in the Silesian Voivodeship. The area is a great birding place during autumn migration, mainly for ducks, divers and gulls. At least 150 species of birds have been observed here. The rarer birds observed here include berneška rudokrká, husice nilská, husice liščí, kachnička mandarinská, zrzohlávka rudozobá, polák malý, kajka mořská, racek tříprstý, potáplice lední, linduška horská and sněhule severní.

The Dziećkowice Reservoir is located between the towns of Mysłowice and Oświęcim and just east of the villages of Imielin and Chełm Śląski. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The best way to explore this place is on foot.
