You can explore the entire Veines peninsula and also the platform over the sea where several bird species can be observed, including alkoun obecný, kormorán velký, kormorán chocholatý, rybák obecný, rybák dlouhoocasý and gulls. Some shore birds as kulík písečný or jespák mořský can be observed all summer, and ústřičník velký may nest on the beach during summer there. Inland you can spot kulík zlatý, jespák bojovný, kalous pustovka, orel mořský and káně rousná.
Water birds as kajka mořská and morčák prostřední and also a diversity of small birds as slavík modráček, sněhule severní, zvonek zelený, sýkora lužní, čečetka zimní and konipas bílý contribute to the very interesting diversity. In fact all parts of the peninsula are good for birding.

Access
By the main road you acces Veines and you park the car at the begining of the walking trail. Click on the P in the map for directions. You can walk all over the peninsula on the left when you start walking. At some point of the walk up in the mountain you will find an observatory. It is also possible from the end of the peninsula (lighthouse) to spot whales during migration.
