Description

Salvøy is an island located on the west side of Karmøy in Rogaland. The island is connected to the mainland by an embankment to Ospøynå and from there a bridge to Karmøy. The sheltered bays around Salvøy are a good place for observing ducks, loons and grebes in winter. Among the birds you can spot are potápka malá, alkoun obecný, potápka žlutorohá, potáplice malá, potáplice lední, morčák prostřední, turpan černý, potápka rudokrká, orel mořský, labuť velká, alkoun úzkozobý, racek stříbřitý and racek mořský.
