Description
Lonåsen is a small village in Tunndalen, at the confluence of the rivers Tunna and Lona, about 13 kilometers northwest of the town of Tynset. The village is surrounded by forest and tundra. I stayed here for a month in the winter months of December and January. I regularly saw woodpecker species such as strakapoud velký but also datlík tříprstý and žluna šedá. In addition, Grouse such as bělokur horský, tetřívek obecný and tetřev hlušec. Finch species such as the dlask tlustozobý and hýl obecný. Furthermore, many brhlík lesní, sýkora lužní, zvonek zelený, čečetka zimní, sýkora uhelníček, králíček obecný, krkavec velký and vrabec polní.

Lonåsen is located 13 kilometers northwest of the town of Tynset. In the general area around Tynset and Lonåsen you have a chance of these sightings, especially in winter.
