Langesundstangen Nature Reserve is located south of Langesund town centre. The area is coastal, and the reserve includes habitats related to saltwater, but also forest. Among the birds you can encounter are husa velká, husa krátkozobá, labuť velká, husice liščí, kajka mořská, turpan hnědý, turpan černý, alkoun úzkozobý, orel mořský and ústřičník velký.
