Description
Jakobsbakken is surrounded by beautiful nature and forest. I stayed here for a month in the winter and saw sovice krahujová almost every day. On some days several with a peak of 7 in 1 day. Probably easier to spot in the winter, but I suspect they will also be easy to find in the spring/summer. More towards Sulitjelma we also saw tetřívek obecný almost every day and tetřev hlušec once. In addition, the more common species such as hýl obecný and sýkora lužní. Also good chances to see bělokur horský.

Access
Jakobsbakken is a small, clustered village situated south of Lake Langvatnet, and approximately 8 kilometers south of the village of Sulitjelma. You can park at various spots along the road between Sulitjelma (1) and Jakobsbakken (2) or in Jakobsbakken itself. The owls can already be spotted from the road, otherwise you have to go a bit further into nature. We saw most owls within a 10-minute walk from the only road.
