The Yperenplas (also called Wilpse Plas) is an easy accessible birding place near the city of Deventer. It offers a wide view on the typical IJssel valley, with a good chance of special species on the lake and in the surroundings. Among the birds you can see here are husa velká, orlovec říční, bělořit šedý, racek bouřní, lžičák pestrý, kopřivka obecná, hvízdák eurasijský, kolpík bílý, racek chechtavý, berneška bělolící and poštolka obecná. Rarities that have been seen here are polák malý, potáplice malá and pisila čáponohá.
