The Wiessenbergse kolk is part of a cluster of nature reserves southeast of Hattem, near the river IJssel. The lake is surrounded by grassland and some bushes and trees. De plas maakt het deel uit van een cluster natuurgebieden ten zuidoosten van Hattem, bij de rivier de IJssel. De kolk is omgeven door grasland en plukjes struiken en bomen.
