The Rietzuivering (reed water purification complex) is located between the dike and the Marnewaard military training area. A beautiful area with young vegetation, reed beds and lakes. Birds that have been observed in the area include: ledňáček říční, krutihlav obecný, potápka malá, hýl obecný, budníček pruhohlavý, hýl rudý, Žluva hajní, rákosník zpěvný and sedmihlásek hajní.
