Description

Het Grote Vlak often holds a lot of ducks ( lžičák pestrý , kopřivka obecná , ostralka štíhlá , husice liščí , hvízdák eurasijský and in spring čírka modrá ), gulls and grebes. Sometimes waders, like břehouš černoocasý , are abundant and few songbirds, like linduška horská and bramborníček černohlavý (sometimes even slavík modráček ), can be found. The area is also good for finding holub doupňák , bělořit šedý and in winter káně rousná .

Access

Het Grote Vlak is easily accessible from the village of Den Hoorn towards the beach. You can park on the roadside, but try to give way to cyclists on the parallel cycle path.
