A new urban forest near Amsterdam created in the early 1990s. The forest has nice trails and attracts many birds.
The Diemerbos is a young forest with many different types of trees and shrubs. Some shrubs bear berries in summer and autumn. In the autumn and winter this attracts kos černý and drozd cvrčala. Other birds you can encounter in the area are ledňáček říční, strakapoud velký, jestřáb lesní, slavík obecný, kukačka obecná, hýl obecný and pěnice černohlavá.

Nederlands: Het Diemerbos is een jong bos vlak bij Amsterdam met veel verschillende soorten bomen en struiken. Er zijn diverse mooie wandelpaden om het bos te verkennen. Besdragende struiken trekken in najaar en winter verschillende soorten lijsters en verder kans op spechten en andere bosvogels. Vogels die je in het gebied kunt tegenkomen zijn ledňáček říční, strakapoud velký, jestřáb lesní, slavík obecný, kukačka obecná, drozd cvrčala, hýl obecný en pěnice černohlavá.
The Diemerbos lies between Diemen, Weesp and Amsterdam Southeast. Easily accessible by bicycle or by public transport from Amsterdam. The bus stops are a 10 to 15 minute walk away. A nice starting point is the House of Bird at the entrance (Diemerbospad 1a, Diemen). You can also eat and drink something and they provide information about birds and rent binoculars.

Nederlands: Het Diemerbos ligt tussen Diemen, Weesp en Amsterdam Zuidoost. Gemakkelijk bereikbaar per fiets of met het OV vanaf Amsterdam. De bushaltes liggen op 10 tot 15 minuten lopen. Een leuk startpunt is het House of Bird bij de ingang (Diemerbospad 1a, Diemen). Je kunt er ook wat eten en drinken en ze geven informatie over vogels en verhuren verrekijkers.
