The Balgzandpolder has a lookout point where you can observe resting wading birds very well. Especially during high tide many bird species rest here. See the link to the tide table at the bottom of this page to check the optimal visiting time. Among the birds you can encounter are husice liščí, berneška tmavá, břehouš rudý, ústřičník velký, bekasina otavní, vodouš tmavý, vodouš rudonohý, tenkozobec opačný, ostralka štíhlá and moták pochop.
