Mouth of the Souss river in Agadir is a nice place to see local shore birds.
Just south of Agadir is the mouth of the Souss river. There is a path along the north side from where you can observe the river with it's mudflats. Here you can see all kinds of waders, gulls such a Audouin's Gull and Slender-billed Gull and terns such as Laughing Gull. There are dunes, bushes and a few ponds, famous for Marbled Teal.
On the east side is plenty of room to park your car. The walk along the river is not too long. The first part is a paved 'boulevard' it then turnes in to many small trails through the dunes. There are some lakes north of the river Souss, adjacent to the royal palace.
The area is just south of one of palaces of the king. The guards are not too keen on large telescopes, so be a bit carefull looking north. Although they are probably used to birders by now.
