Spring and autumn are best for this oasis. Passerines include bělořit okrový, ťuhýk rudohlavý, White-eared Bulbul, Chocholouš obecný, pěnice bělohrdlá, pěnice dlouhozobá and pěnice brýlatá. Wetland birds include 3 species of egret, chřástal kropenatý, chřástal malý, chřástal polní, kvakoš noční, volavka červená and volavka vlasatá, čáp černý and čáp bílý. In the surrounding desert there may be křepelka polní, Dytík úhorní, sup bělohlavý, moták stepní, orel jestřábí, hýl sinajský, Desert Owl and Tristram's Starling. There is a raised walkway, hides and a cycle track.

Access
By road the site is 70 miles east of Amman, where day tours, car hire and taxi hire are available. Advice is to carry plenty of water and avoid midday heat. The cycle route is 12 km and the raised walkway 3/4 of a km.
