Description
The KM 19 pool is famous for its Lichtenstein's Sandgrouse that come in to drink at dusk. The pool is also good for ducks, herons and waders. Among the birds that can be seen are čírka modrá, ostralka štíhlá, čejka trnitá, ledňáček hnědohlavý, ťuhýk běločelý, plameňák růžový, polák malý, vlha proměnlivá, pisila čáponohá, jespák bojovný, vodouš šedý, kolpík bílý, racek tenkozobý, rybák velkozobý, moták pochop, volavka červená, kvakoš noční and bukáček malý. Access
The ponds are located 19 km north of Eilat. Come off Route 90 from the south, drive due east. Passable for all kinds of vehicles. Some parts may be muddy at times.
