Description
Örfirisey is a reliable spot to observe the birdlife of the Reykjavík bay. Especially in the colder times of the year. Bringing your telescope, a scan of the bay and horizon might produce birds like hoholka lední, kormorán chocholatý, terej bílý, alkoun malý, kačka strakatá and morčák prostřední. You might also see potáplice malá and potáplice lední. Örfirsey has also hosted a male White-winged Scoter every winter since 2014, proving it as a reliable spot for this vagrant. Overhead, sněhule severní might pass, and along the rocks there might be alkoun obecný.
