This site and the surrounding area is excelent for výreček malý, kalous ušatý and, nearby, sýček obecný and Sova pálená. On the church roof, heading towards Skala Kalloni, a čáp bílý nest is located. Other species include warblers, buntings and larks.

Access
Papiana is a small village Between Skala Kalloni and Kerami and can be reached from the Kallonis to Eresou road. Parking on one of the small sideroads making sure you don't block access to anywhere. Head for the Olive Groves viewed from opposite the school and playground.
