Receding water levels and muddy fringes can attract birds such as bekasina otavní and vodouš kropenatý. In August 2023, a juvenile kamenáček pestrý was even observed here! The surrounding woodland is home to a good number of species and is a good place to look for drozd brávník, strakapoud prostřední and strakapoud malý. If you are lucky, you may see a ostříž lesní hunting dragonflies in summer.
