Description
The Tevenerheide is a nice walking and birding area, located next to Nato airport Geilenkirchen. The Tevenerheide is characterized by alternation between vegetation and landscapes: moist or dry, dense forest or open field. Very good place to view the skřivan lesní quite close. Other birds in the area include bramborníček černohlavý, puštík obecný, rehek zahradní, datel černý, sedmihlásek hajní, ťuhýk obecný, skřivan polní and strnad obecný.

"Heathland route" (purple) - 6 km, start: car park Scherpenseel. "Lakes route" (blue) - 7,1, km, start: car park Hohenbusch. "Big nature trail" (yellow) - 9,4 km, start: car parks Hohenbusch/Grotenrath/Scherpenseel. On the map below you see a 10 km circular walking trail.
