There can be found a variety of birds like waterbirds, eg. volavka popelavá, potápka roháč fieldbirds like strnad obecný, also stehlík obecný, mlynařík dlouhoocasý and a lot more. The signs on the trailside promise it to be an even better birding spot in spring, with the information, that Žluva hajní are breeding here. But also ťuhýk obecný and bramborníček hnědý can be seen here.

You can get to the starting Point easily by bus to Alt Lübars, you can also park your car there. Or just take the bike, as a part of the trail is the "Berliner Mauer Radweg".
