Description

The pond of Rixdorfer Teich is popular with typical urban birds like mlynařík dlouhoocasý, červenka obecná and sojka obecná, as well as waterfowl like labuť velká, kachnička mandarinská and Slípka zelenonohá.

Some of the usual sýkora koňadra are very used to humans and will even take seeds from the hand. There is a family of káně lesní that live in the park, and one or two are usually hanging around in the trees near the pond. In summer many vlaštovka obecná circle over the pond, and in autumn and winter there are always lots of stehlík obecný in the alders next to the pond.
