Description

The river Elz near the town of Köndringen was restored in 2017 as a compensation site for railway construction. The newly restored river gives home species like ledňáček říční and kulík říční. Also morčák velký and volavka popelavá can be regularly observed here. During migration season vodouš kropenatý or bekasina otavní can be observed along the river or the wet meadows. Even rarer species like volavka stříbřitá or kvakoš noční have already been observed here.
