The area has good populations of bramborníček černohlavý and strakapoud prostřední. Other species that can be observed here are labuť velká, husa velká, krutihlav obecný, bekasina otavní, skřivan polní , datel černý, žluna šedá, ťuhýk obecný, ledňáček říční, brhlík lesní,luňák hnědý, včelojed lesní and ostříž lesní.

The best way to reach the nature reserve Mönchbruch is via the main road 486 (B 486) and park at Jagdschloß Mönchbruch (Mönchbruch hunting castle). Click on the P in the map for directions. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 3,5 km.
