Description

The lookout from the Moorochse tower is ideal in the morning, as from midday onwards there is backlighting and therefore reflections in the water. ledňáček říční regularly hunt here and the large number of kormorán velký make them a popular hunting target for orel mořský. Other birds you can encounter are jeřáb popelavý, kopřivka obecná, konipas bílý, volavka bílá, kachna divoká, Chřástal vodní, Slípka zelenonohá, labuť velká and potápka malá.

Access

The Moorochse observation tower is situated on the banks of the lake Plauer See, 9 km north of the town of Plau am See. Park at the nature center Karower Meiler. Press P on the map for directions. From the parking it is 1.7 km on foot or by bike to the observation tower.
