A visit to the List auf Sylt area is definitely worthwhile during the migration periods in spring and autumn.
List auf Sylt is the northernmost municipality of Germany, located at the northern part of the island of Sylt. The village is surrounded by dunes, mudflats and the protected and inaccessible island of Uthörn. During migration, and especially in autumn thousands of birds can be spotted. Among the birds that can be observed in the area are berneška tmavá, jespák mořský, ústřičník velký, skřivan ouškatý, pisík obecný, jespák obecný and kamenáček pestrý.
The best way to get there from Westerland or other places on Sylt is by bus. You can take the train to Sylt itself. This one also stops in Westerland! If you arrive in List by car there is a big parking. Click on the P in the map for directions.
