Description
The Leipheimer Moos is a beautiful moorland with wide areas for moták pochop as well as the rare chřástal polní, konipas luční, cvrčilka zelená and migratory linduška luční. In the reed areas north of the border ditch slavík modráček likes to sing, in the cattle pastures bramborníček černohlavý and along the boardwalk circuit (the boardwalk itself is unfortunately closed) krutihlav obecný, slavík obecný, bekasina otavní, čejka chocholatá, pěnice hnědokřídlá, kukačka obecná, bažant obecný and datel černý can be heard or seen.
Also worth a visit in autumn/winter when there are moták pilich, ťuhýk šedý, kalous pustovka, husa běločelá and jeřáb popelavý.

Access
The Leipheimer Moos is located in north of the town of Günzburg. The area is perfect to explore by bike and on foot. You can park your car south of the area at the Herdweg parking area in Leipheim. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking. The Herdweg area provides convenient access to the moor and its hiking trails.
