A mixed forest of about 110 hectares in the southeast of Berlin.
In the middle of the Berlin suburbs, the Königsheide is a refuge for animals of all kinds. The forest consists predominantly of a sparse stand of oaks, but also of pines or a mixture of both species. Typical forest birds can be found here (strakapoud velký , strakapoud prostřední, drozd zpěvný, brhlík lesní, králíček obecný). A large sandy dry grassland further enriches the area.
The Königsheide is located in the city of Berlin and can be easily reached both by public transport (for example with the M41 to Sonnenallee/Baumschulenweg) and by car. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The total length of the walk shown on the map is about 5 km.
