Description
Open ponds with reed fringes, mudflats and some islands for breeding birds. Apart from a variety of waders and waterfowl the area is quite good for raptors, e.g. sokol stěhovavý and orel mořský.
Typical breeding birds: vodouš rudonohý, tenkozobec opačný, rybák obecný, slavík modráček, rákosník proužkovaný, Chřástal vodní.
Migration: Any kind of wader, terns, ducks
Winter: morčák malý and many other duck species, many geese (particularly berneška bělolící and husa běločelá), divers, kulík zlatý.
Despite being created only recently the area already held a few national rarities: jeřáb panenský (2014), breeding pisila čáponohá (2014), jespák dlouhonohý (2019).

The site can be accessed easily via Ölstraße from Diekmannshausen (2 km), either by car or by bicycle. No public transport available.
