Description
Kiesseen Prettin is a body of water of 112 hectare located on the Elbe River near Prettin. Characteristic are the shoals and the sandbanks, some of which lie in the middle of the water. Almost 50 breeding bird species are known on the site. The waterfowl include labuť velká and lyska černá. The vertical bank walls are inhabited by břehule říční, and ústřičník velký breeds on the gravelly flat banks. rákosník obecný, rákosník zpěvný and strnad rákosní live in the reed beds, while slavík obecný and moudivláček lužní live in the damp wood along the banks. The dry bushes are inhabited by ťuhýk obecný, pěnice hnědokřídlá and pěnice pokřovní, while poštolka obecná, Žluva hajní and vrabec polní breed in the trees. koroptev polní, bramborníček hnědý, Chocholouš obecný and bělořit šedý live on the ruderal and barren areas.
