Description
Originally created by monks, the upper and lower Kelzer Teich continue to be used for fish farming. All other bodies of water were created for nature conservation reasons. rákosník obecný, potápka malá and Chřástal vodní breed in the extensive reed beds. ostříž lesní and moták pochop hunt here and every year at migration time orlovec říční can be observed. Occasionally, rarities such as bukač velký, potápka rudokrká or volavka červená are also reported. In winter the water from the ponds is drained.

You can park directly at the lower Kelzer Teich next to the B83. Click on the P in the map for directions. The lower pond is directly visible. The upper Kelzer Teich can be reached via a sandy path. A narrow path leads to a small observation hide.
