Description
The Herrenteich attracts various waders (kulík říční, vodouš šedý, vodouš tmavý, vodouš bahenní, vodouš kropenatý, bekasina otavní), especially during migration times. These birds are less common regionally. You can often see the ledňáček říční, konipas horský, luňák hnědý, luňák červený and various ducks and geese. From time to time čáp černý, krahujec obecný, jestřáb lesní are flying over. Now and then, orlovec říční, moták pochop, and ostříž lesní can also be seen.
The area can be seen from two sides and the footbridges can be walked on. One side of the lake is overgrown with trees. Another is covered with reeds.

The area is best explored on foot and free parking is available directly in front of the lake at the inn. The footbridges are freely accessible and you can enjoy a drink while watching.
