Description
The Hainberg is a 213-hectare nature reserve on the southwestern edge of the city of Nuremberg. It is an open area, but also partly covered with forest. Bird watching here is most worthwhile in summer, when ťuhýk obecný, Žluva hajní, strakapoud prostřední, datel černý, rehek zahradní and krutihlav obecný can be seen. At the small pond and the river you can watch ledňáček říční as well as geese, ducks and kormorán velký in the forest. And of course other typical forest birds. Along the river skorec vodní has been observed.
