Description
It’s an excellent place for orel mořský, orlovec říční and káně rousná. In autumn there are huge numbers of resting northern geese, ducks and jeřáb popelavý, and when the water level is low, various limicoles can be observed on the south bank. Around the lake there are scattered bushes, reedbeds, flooded meadows, and marshlands and even some wooded dunes. The varied landscape offers plenty of opportunity to see interesting birds all year round.

Access
Both north and south sides of the lake can be accessed via Rhinow. For the south side of the lake with the birdwatching tower you can best park near the post mill in Prietzen and walk from there.
