At Bärenbrücker Teiche you can see especially in winter many ducks like lžičák pestrý, hvízdák eurasijský, kachna divoká, ostralka štíhlá, čírka obecná, zrzohlávka rudozobá, polák malý, polák chocholačka and polák kaholka. And you can also find several species of geese like husa velká, husa běločelá, husta tundrová and at the narrow fields you can see husta tundrová, berneška rudokrká and berneška bělolící. In winter you can also find some labuť zpěvná, labuť malá and all year around many labuť velká.
In spring and autumn many limicoles visit Bärenbrücker Teiche. Waders such as tenkozobec opačný, kulík bledý, čejka chocholatá, kulík písečný, kulík říční, břehouš rudý, jespák rezavý, jespák bojovný, jespák křivozobý, jespák šedý, jespák obecný, jespák malý and bekasina otavní.

Access
Bärenbrücker Teiche is located 15 km northeast of the city of Cottbus and immediately north of the village of Bärenbrück. From Dorfstraße you can drive with car or bike to a little road between Unterteich and Streckteich. At the middle of the little road is a little spot were you can parc your car. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking spot. From there another little path leads to the Unterteich where most birds can be observed.
