Having suffered from excessive hunting, the pripris are now protected and the fauna is gradually returning. The Pripri des Yiyi wetland is home to a rich diversity of species such as: Anhinga, Agami Heron, Green Ibis, Yellow-headed Caracara, Common Potoo, Green Kingfisher, Black-crested Antshrike, Orange-winged Parrot, Brown-throated Parakeet, Snail Kite, Slender-billed Kite, Black-collared Hawk, Black Hawk-Eagle, Least Bittern, Green-tailed Jacamar, Rufescent Tiger-Heron, Least Grebe, Cocoi Heron, Azure Gallinule, Purple Gallinule, Wattled Jacana, Amazon Kingfisher, American Pygmy Kingfisher, Ash-throated Crake, Rusty-margined Flycatcher, Cream-colored Woodpecker, Epaulet Oriole, Black-faced Tanager, Burnished-buff Tanager, Crested Oropendola, Masked Yellowthroat, Gray-breasted Crake, Sungrebe and Masked Duck.

Français: Les pripris de Yiyi sont une grande zone humide, riche en diversité, plusieurs postes d'observation permetent l'observation de l'avifaune du lieu. Ayant souffert de la la chasse excessive les pripris sont désormais protégés et la faune reviens peu à peu, la zone humide abrite du riche diversité d'epèces.

Access
Located in the commune of Sinnamary, the Yiyi marsh is easily accessible because it is located on the edge of the RN 1 (kilometer point 122). A car park is located at the foot of the visitor centre. Click on the P in the map for directions or coordinates. Bring long, anti-mosquito clothing! The circular walk indicated on the map is about 3 km.

Français: Situé sur la commune de Sinnamary, le marais de Yiyi est facilement accessible car il est situé en bordure de la RN 1 (point kilométrique 122). Un parking est situé au pied de la maison de la réserve. Prévoir vétements longs et anti-moustiques ! Le parcours pédestre circulaire indiqué sur la carte fait environ 3 km.
