Sixt Fer à Cheval is a beautiful town in the Haute-Savoie and particularly known for the nearby valley of Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval, a very photogenic mountain area. This is the largest cirque in the Alps and is known for its cliffs of 500 to 700 meters high. The cirque is a very nice spot for birdwatching. Many interesting birds are present in the area. For example tetřev hlušec, tetřívek obecný, jeřábek lesní, bělokur horský, sup bělohlavý, orlosup bradatý and orel skalní.
