The bay of Rothéneuf is close to St. Malo. At low tide you can wade through the bay and get up close to the birds.
At low tide, the whole bay of Rothéneuf dries up and you can walk in between the boats and tidal channels. The volavka stříbřitá and other birds go looking for food in the dry bay. Click on the link below to see the tides table.
You can only walk on the dry bay on foot. There is a parking lot right on the bay. Click on the P in the map for directions.
At the entrance to the bay you can see sand eels jumping out of the sand as people try to catch them. Crabs are hidden in holes in the tidal channels.
