The northern shore of Lake Saint Cyr holds a protected bird sanctuary that is great for birdwatching. The reserve has hiking trails and many bird hides.
La Réserve Ornithologique de Saint-Cyr is a protected nature reserve located at the northern shores of Lake Saint Cyr. There are many observatories, trails and information panels that allow you to explore this wetland. During migration many birds make a stop here and In winter, many ducks from the Nordic countries find refuge on the Saint-Cyr lake and its reserve. Among the birds you can see are čírka obecná, kukačka obecná, kulík říční, volavka stříbřitá, cetie jižní, pěnice černohlavá, čejka chocholatá, pisík obecný, rybák obecný, břehule říční, ledňáček říční and strnad cvrčivý.

There is a big parking lot. Click on the P in the map to get direction. From the parking you can walk to the trails. Pink trail: this marked circuit, punctuated by three observatories, equipped with informative panels, allows you to discover the site at your own pace in complete freedom. Orange trail: this "accompanied" tour allows you, during a guided tour by a nature animator of the LPO, to enter the heart of the reserve and discover the secrets and richness of the life of the site.
