Description
Neuvry is a very good spot for waterbirds, and also for local rarities. racek černohlavý and racek chechtavý breed in small numbers, as do zrzohlávka rudozobá , polák chocholačka and potápka černokrká. volavka rusohlavá, volavka bílá and volavka stříbřitá are all regular. Waders are quite common in stopover, especially Tringa sandpipers. slučka malá winters in the area.
racek malý , rybák bahenní, rybák černý and orlovec říční are regular. This also a good place for ducks in migration period. Among the recent rarities are vodouš štíhlý , volavka vlasatá , hoholka lední , potápka rudokrká , jespák šedý and rybák dlouhoocasý.

Access
The gravel pit is located directly north of the village of Neuvry. By car only (no train station around). You can go first to the western bird hide, and then walk along the eastern shore of the lake on the dirt road. Be careful, driving is forbidden on the dirt road around the lake, you're in a Natural Reserve, you may be fined. The circular walking route is about 4,5 km.
