Le Champ Virlois is interesting for several reedbed species, including slavík modráček, rákosník velký, rákosník proužkovaný, bukáček malý, Chřástal vodní and moták pochop. moudivláček lužní has been spotted in stopover and crakes are possible.
In the surrounding forests hýl obecný, ostříž lesní, budníček větší and luňák hnědý are quite easy to see. Dytík úhorní and hohol severní can be found at the surrounding gravel pits.
