Description
During migration and winter the water bodies can host lots of ducks if they have not been flushed by fishermen or hunters, among which several dozens of polák velký and polák chocholačka and several hundreds of lyska černá . A rarity such as the turpan hnědý or polák kaholka is always possible in winter. Still in winter but above all during October-November and March the wet grassland is a very good spot for bekasina otavní and slučka malá.
In summer typical breeders include rybák obecný and potápka roháč on the lake, ťuhýk obecný in the bushes or linduška luční in the grassland.
In late summer and early autumn when water level drops the south-western water body can be very good for waders particularly vodouš bahenní or for a čáp černý stopover. In spring when water level is higher, rybák černý , rybák bahenní or racek malý are regularly seen foraging over water.
