Uutela park has different forest types, marshes, rocks and shorelines within it. There's a lot of variety in bird species and it's a nice place to visit all year round. In spring and early summer it's possible to see and hear all kinds of singing birds: sedmihlásek hajní , budníček menší , budníček větší , kukačka obecná , rákosník pokřovní , linduška lesní , pěnice hnědokřídlá , pěnice pokřovní , budníček lesní, červenka obecná , pěnkava obecná, lejsek černohlavý , lejsek šedý , lejsek malý , sýkora koňadra , sýkora modřinka , sýkora uhelníček , linduška luční , pěnice černohlavá. You can spot migrating species as well. Thanks to the close proximity of the sea it's possible to spot a wide variety of both local and migrating sea birds by the shore too: labuť zpěvná , labuť velká ,morčák velký , morčák prostřední ,polák chocholačka , hohol severní , hoholka lední ,kajka mořská , kachna divoká , pisík obecný , berneška bělolící , berneška velká and volavka popelavá.
The Uutela communal gardens located at the heart of the park is also a great spot for seeing birds. (Check out the gardens' own page on Birdingplaces for more details!) There are three active bird feeding spots in the park during winter time. Some have bird food all year round but they're especially nice in winter. The more common sýkora koňadra , sýkora modřinka , sýkora uhelníček , vrabec domácí and vrabec polní are almost always present but if you're lucky you might spot sýkora parukářka , sýkora lužní and králíček obecný on them too. brhlík lesní has been seen visiting one of the feeding spots during the summer too.
králíček obecný is a common even if sometimes hard to see species in the park all around the year. kos černý can also be seen almost all year round. During the autumn migration seasons it's also possible to see brkoslav severní too.

Access
There are two parking places in the area. The park is best explored by walking. It is also possible to cycle in the forest. The main paths are wide and maintained and are therefore suitable for wheelchair users as well. Please be mindful of where you walk and cycle, though, as there are nature reserve areas that should be protected.
