Description
The Porslahti communal gardens attract a variety of bird species in spring, summer and autumn. The regular vrabec domácí , sýkora koňadra and vrabec polní are common birds in the gardens but it's also easy to come across birds like budníček větší , budníček menší , pěnice hnědokřídlá , pěnice pokřovní , červenka obecná, střízlík obecný and stehlík obecný. Especially in late summer. rehek zahradní , bramborníček hnědý and slavík modráček have also been seen in the gardens during late summer and early autumn. Due to the high amount of small birds in the area, it's also possible to spot krahujec obecný and jestřáb lesní hunting in the area.
The small foresty area next to the gardens can also surprise birders positively. In autumn and winter time, the forest can attract berry eating birds like hýl obecný , drozd kvíčala and kos černý. králíček obecný likes to hunt for insects in the coniferous trees throughout the year and žluna šedá, šoupálek dlouhoprstý and mlynařík dlouhoocasý have been seen in the area as well.
As an added bonus, the gardens themselves are also lovely to look at when flowers are in full bloom and vegetables start to grow. Please be mindful when visiting and photographing to not disturb the gardeners too much to make birders welcome in the future too. While the paths around the gardens are public space the gardens themselves are off limits and should not be entered.

There is a parking place close to the gardens. It is also possible to cycle and walk in the area. Walking is the best way to explore the gardens.
