Description
Crocodile Island is located in the river Nile. The reedbeds and wetlands line the shore on both sides of the bridge to the mainland. Look for volavka stříbřitá, volavka rusohlavá, volavka červená, slípka modrá, ostříž lesní, poštolka jižní, moták pochop, rybařík jižní, orlovec říční, luněc šedý, wintering dabbling ducks and waders.
The hotel gardens are a refuge for smaller birds and migrants such as vlha pestrá, vlha proměnlivá, Žluva hajní, výreček malý, dudek chocholatý, hrdlička divoká, lelek lesní, krutihlav obecný, ťuhýk obecný and various warblers.

Access
Luxor is a popular tourist destination with its own airport. Trains from Cairo take about 10 hours. Crocodile Island is located in the river Nile just south of Luxor. From the city centre there are plentiful buses and taxis.
